I was in the bathroom in the Science Center today when I had a thought. The urinals use infrared technology so you do not have to touch them. The sinks use infrared technology so you do not have to touch them. The soap dispensers, however, have to be pushed.

Admittedly, this would not bother me very much, except that all of the pushbuttons on the dispensers are incredibly dirty. If you are pushing a soap dispenser button, the odds are that your hands are dirty. Infrared soap dispensers seem to exist, although they are not cheap.

Then again, neither are infrared flush sensors.
